Holly Stephey of Red Velvet Media 12.29.11 by AnthonyBozza.com
December 30, 2011 09:28 PM PST
Hello everyone, I interviewed my special friend Holly Stephey of Red Velvet Media. Holly is just one of those unique special folks that is simply a sweetheart who wants to help the people and the world. She uses music and talk to help her audience on her Red Velvet Media Blog Talk Radio shows. This episode is more of an introduction about Holly as we jump from subject to subject but never really get into her roots too deep. That's why this is part 1. We talk about a variety of things and her travels of the world to a box of rocks. I put some special goodies in here including Morley Bartnoff, AKA Cosmo Topper for Holly and you that you may enjoy. You can reach Holly at: or on facebook. Hope you enjoy- DJ_Boz Mark Englert of DRAMARAMA LIVE interview 03.08.11 Part III of III by AnthonyBozza.comMarch 28, 2011 05:56 AM PDT
Wow, what a great ending to Part III of my interview with the talented Mark "Mr. E. Boy" Englert of DRAMARAMA and solo. We tied everything together and have a lot of music and clips in this Podcast that I hope you enjoy. Also, THREE full length DRAMARAMA songs included as well! We talk about the recording of "Vinyl" and "Tiny Candles" on that same album. Artists mentioned are Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Little Richard and more. Mark is an amazing soul who truly appreciates life and performing to make people happy with his art. It's a cornucopia of subjects with a great chat room including Nick Celeste, Wayne, NJ native, and part of DRAMARAMA's friends and clan from childhood. Mark talks about our armed services and how we should support our troops defending our freedom. If your just reading this now, you need to back up and listen to Part I & II first as it is supposed to be in some kind of a logical order! I have also included "The Good Life" off Mark's last self titled album "The Good Life," which is available for sale at Amazon and iTunes. Link below. We end with tribute songs by request, "You've Got Another Thing Coming," by Judas Priest and "I'm Not Like Everybody Else," by Dave Davies performed live off of his "Live At Rock Bottom" album. Lots of fun goodies on this one so I hope you check it out! This is part II of III of my interviews with axe man and soloist, Mark Englert. We pick up from part I on why Mark headed to Oregon after "the band broke up." Lots of great stuff including a track that Mark engineered and produced of a cover of "Haven't Got A Clue," by John Lowrey at Phat Borris Studios which Mark owns in Van Nuys, CA. Please register with my Podcast page (not fb page) and let us know what you think. The more comments the better, good, bad or indifferent. I have also included a track from Mark's unreleased latest album as well as his last album "The Good Life." which is available for sale at Amazon and iTunes. Link below. I tried something new by asking Mark "20 Questions." Very interesting and comedic answers at times. Our friends in the chat room added to these questions as well. Check this Podcast out, it's very informative and Mark gets deep for a few moments. I hope you enjoy! DJ_Boz Mark Englert of DRAMARAMA LIVE interview 03.08.11 Part I of III by AnthonyBozza.comMarch 09, 2011 10:53 PM PST
What a great interview with pal and artist of DRAMARAMA. We had so much fun and with everyone in the chat room we lost time and spoke for almost 3 hours so I am editing this podcast into 3 parts. This is part 1. We speak about so many things and have so many cool people in the chat room asking questions and sending love to Mark, it was great. People spoke about (besides Marky) are John Easdale, Peter Wood, Chris Carter (which you will hear a very young Chris Carter trying to book a slot on the "Joe Franklin Show") in New Jersey, Nick Celeste, Tony Snow, Benmont Tench, Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Jeff Lynne and more. Special thanks to Pat Pierson and welcome Pat, to World Access Radio in the near future. I played a few tunes for your enjoyment and I will have part 2 up ASAP because I let part 1 be a cliffhanger on why Mark moved to Oregon after the "band" broke up, then reforming and still going strong. A new album will be coming out soon so keep your eyes wide open for some new DRAMA! Mike Davis is on bass, and Tony Snow on drums. I have interviewed them both recently so check them out. So, check out this first episode as I end it with one of Mark's track's that he threw together after purchasing a lot of stringed toys. It's about Christmas but this Podcast will be up forever so whenever the holidays come around, it will become fresh again. I hope you enjoy! DJ_Boz Mike Davis of DRAMARAMA & HALFORD LIVE interview 02.21.11 by AnthonyBozza.comFebruary 25, 2011 06:04 PM PST
This is my second Podcast I have done with Mike Davis. Since our last interview, Mike has continued gigging with DRAMARAMA, laying down tracks to the NEW DRAMARAMA album that should be out in the near future. Also, Mike has just come off an international tour with HALFORD. Yes, "The Metal God," Rob Halford's spin off band from Judas Priest. I give you a taste of a great track of HALFORD's new album (which Mike recorded on) "Made of Metal." This album rocks hard. We cover a ton of subjects and since Mike is a chef as well, of course we have to talk about food......as always. This is one Podcast not to miss as we talk about just about everyone in the band, old and new, including the extended DRAMARAMA friends and family. Lot's of music and goodies on this Podcast and a triple set at the end which Mike picked out just for you! Two Drama songs and one Halford song. I hope you enjoy! DJ_Boz Tony Snow of DRAMARAMA & Tony Snow and The Change LIVE interview 02.10.11 by AnthonyBozza.comFebruary 15, 2011 01:29 PM PST
Finally, a long awaited interview with Tony, but it was worth the wait. Tony and I talk about a lot of things besides his excellent drumming for DRAMARAMA and fronting his own band, "Tony Snow & The Change." Tony plays and is endorsed by Ludwig. We talked about his recent visit to the NAMM show out in LA as well as his influences. Food, Food, Food, YES, Tony is a foodie, so that makes him, Mike Davis and I in the DRAMA Foodie club! We all think that music and food go hand in hand. Tons of cool subjects and we had a great crew in the chat room. I played one of Tony's tracks called: "Tumble In The Tide," which is a DEMO, but shows great potential. I really enjoyed it. At Tony's request for the tag song at the end, he picked "Modesty Personified" off of DRAMARAMA's "Box Office Bomb." Great song! DRAMARAMA will be touring more this year as a new album is in the works so please say hello to Tony at a gig if you get a chance. Tony may be from LA but he has some "Jersey" blood in him! All of the guys are easily approachable, spread the love! I hope you enjoy! DJ_Boz Peter Wood of DRAMARAMA LIVE interview 02.08.11 by AnthonyBozza.comFebruary 08, 2011 07:36 PM PST
It's been well over a year since I interviewed Pete Wood of DRAMARAMA. We caught up on "what's new" with DRAMARAMA as well as some of his other projects which include Bob Polding Band & Pam Goes Postal. We had a lot of fan/friends in chat room and it was a lot fun as well as informative. Then we got a visit from Nick Celeste who grew up with all the "Wayne" boy's of DRAMARAMA and is a musician himself. So, that prompted me to play DRAMARAMA's cover to The Bee Gee's "Indian Gin and Whiskey Dry" off the compilation album called "Melody Fair." Then, I played a demo of Nick's cover of "Rock On" by David Essex and produced by Richard Barone. I actually like it better than the original. Nick also has a track on "Melody Fair," called "The Greatest Man In The World." This album, "Melody Fair," is available from http://www.eggBERT.com RIP Greg. We are all looking forward to a great year for DRAMARAMA and it was nice to start the ball rolling interviewing the witty Peter Wood who laughs a bit like "Pauly" on "The Sopranos." Pete's tag song pick after wrap up is "Senseless Fun" off of the "Hi-Fi Sci-Fi" album. Lots of cool goodies added in this interview so, listen to find out! DJ_Boz Rock Spirit Radio's Session #5 01.23.11 World Healing by DaveDavies.com & AnthonyBozza.comJanuary 23, 2011 05:59 PM PST
Rock Spirit Radio graduates to session #5, "World Healing Session and Personal Healing List." Once again we have the lovely Rosina Mostardini as our special guest healer. Dave discuses Spiritual Healing and narrates "Fools crow." Fools crow always described himself as a little hollow bone through which Wakan Tanka worked to accomplish his purposes. This shows that he believed he was put here to accomplish the healing that the Creator wanted to be done. It is also important that one be open to receive the healing and the healer believing that the healing will work. Dave and Rosina follow with "Black Elk" and "Native American" prayers. Dave performs Mantra and explains how to experience it with breathing exercises. ============================== I also played a new track release by Dave and Russ Davies, "We Can Do This Together," off of their new concept album, "The Aschere Project," "Two Worlds." For more information and to purchase "Two Worlds," please click: http://www.TheAschereProject.com or on Amazon please click: ============================== There are other prayers such as "The Peace Prayer of St. Francis," that Rosina narrates. There are more prayers, healing list, hymn of St. Gregory and more. This was a very good session and if you missed it, you can hear or download it now. At closing I played, "Rock You, Rock Me," off of Dave's "Bug" album. I also followed (not on this podcast though, only LIVE) with "New Dawn, New Day," "Living On A Thin Line" (off of The Kinks, Come Dancing, written and performed by Dave). I ended with Dave's new video, "Flowers In The Rain." "New Dawn, New Day," and "Flowers In The Rain" (Video) can be purchased on Dave's recently released DVD, "Mystikal Journey." Check out http://www.Detune.tv if your interested in ordering one for yourself. I was very honored to get the call from John to do this interview on his new book, "Life Is What Happens" - John Lennon. Borack, a major Lennon and Beatles fan was asked by his publisher to do the book. Of course he was honored as he, as well as millions of others felt a very close connection to Lennon like family, even though they had never corresponded or met in person. This book is very illustrative meaning it simply has great photos, images, autographs, etc. It is also very well written and it all kind of melds together perfectly. It's hard to believe it's been 30 years since John's passing. The demand and following of Lennon and The Beatles will continue to climb with each generation, just as it has been. The individual Beatles and the band will never pass and will live forever. There are hundreds if not thousands of books on John Lennon. This book separates itself from the others by having rare, unseen illustrations and another unique asset, many quotes from other artists who were fans of Lennon as well. John and I had a good time on this interview and being it was about Lennon & The Beatles, it is just shy of two hours. Numerous other artists were brought up in conversation as they all intertwined in Lennon's life one way or another. Your just going to have to download or listen to take it all in. The book can be purchased at Barnes & Nobles, Boarders, Amazon (incl. Kindle download) and your corner book store. I recommend the hard copy verses the download as it is something to really LOOK at. The three majors mentioned (sans Amazon as it is only an internet store) above also are available on-line on their sites. This is Part 2 of a combo Podcast featuring Dave and Russ' latest collaboration of "The Aschere Project." Dave get's into "The Aschere Project" in more depth and focus. Also, Dave introduces the roll out of a new product, a spiritual body oil that enhances and gives energy when applied to certain parts of the body. Together, this special oil that has been blessed by Dave and Rosina is projected to take you to another dimension especially while listening to The Aschere Project music. Dave said it may have healing powers as well and that oils have been used for centuries with a positive results. You will find more information and the direction Dave and Russ plan on taking this project in this Pod. I played 2, two minute sample songs that are very impressive so you can check out the vibe. I really think they are on to something here. Dave has always been ahead of the curve and it seems that it takes 10 years for some people to discover how great his albums are. Hopefully because "It's A New Dawn And A New Day," the "Electronica/Alternative" influences that the very talented Russell Davies brings to the plate, they will get instant acceptance with this album and story. Russell's band is called "The Cinnamon Chasers." Check it out if you get a chance, very cool stuff. http://www.CinnamonChasers.com We also talked again in more detail about Dave's new incredible "Dave Davies Kronikle's, Mystical Journey DVD," just recently released. I think there still may be a handful of autographed UK versions left so you may want to ask when you order. This edited version of the LIVE Podcast has a few extra's (Dave set himself up so I could not pass one up)! All of my Podcasts are not exactly the same as the LIVE interviews. That's why I encourage people who are interested in the artist that I interview to listen to the LIVE version if you can, as well as the Podcast. The LIVE version can only be "LIVE" once. I take things out and I put things in during editing. It all depends on "The Wizard's" mood. Ton's of other subject matter we discuss but your going to have to listen to find out! To order your copy of "The Aschere Project," or check out the site, please go to: http://www.TheAschereProject.com or for digital download you can go to: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/two-worlds/id401123760 or: To check out and purchase the special oil AND Mystikal Journey DVD please go to Dave's store at: A lot of hard work has gone into these projects and I am sure you will get more than your monies worth. DJ_Boz Dave Davies LIVE interview 10.24.10 (Solo, The Kinks, and now, the latest, The Aschere Project) by AnthonyBozza.comOctober 27, 2010 01:11 AM PDT
One of my favorite interviews with my friend Dave. He and one of his son's "Russell Davies" (Cinnamon Chasers) have collaborated to put a project together that is mind blowing. Russell may be a bit shy but has no reason to be. He is a well accomplished artist with his band "The Cinnamon Chasers" (check out "Luv Deluxe") on Youtube as it came in 2nd place for all of the videos on Vemio for 2009. The Aschere Project is hard to describe except it is one of a kind. Alternative Electronica, maybe a bit of club music all with Spirit and a great vibe and sensation. I think they have created a new "genre" of their own. An 8 page booklet comes with the CD as their intention is to have this "love story" made into a play, a series of books and also a series of major motion picture movies. I think Dave has learned a lot from his son, Russell, and vice-versa. We touch so many subjects on this interview, it is quite amazing if I say so myself. The focus is on The Aschere Project but we do talk about Dave (Solo), The Kinks, business, Eddie Van Halen, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney as it just felt good to bring it up. So, your going to have to listen for yourself and please join The Aschere Project's CLICK HERE: http://www.TheAschereProject.com There are links for fb and twitter as well. We want your feedback as this is some very cool and progressive electronica with a bit of spiritual type music. To join The Aschere Project Fan Club on fb CLICK Here: http://www.facebook.com/Theaschereproject To join and check out the website, CLICK HERE: http://www.TheAschereProject.com If you put your pre-orders in by 11.05.10, you will receive an autographed CD from Dave and Russell for you collectors. Very cool. Regards- DJ_Boz Rock Spirit Radio's Session #4 09.19.10 by DaveDavies.com & AnthonyBozza.comSeptember 28, 2010 01:39 PM PDT
Rock Spirit Radio graduates to session #4. Our special guest healer is Rosina Mostardini once again. We have kind of a loose format on this session but the prayers, mantra's, and healing's were serious. We had a lot of new folks in the chat room this time as well as a nice listener count which is really good. Dave explains in the beginning what he has been doing for the last 12 years with all of this on his own and the late Rafaela Flippi. Rosina lets us know some of the things she does with her spiritual world in the Chicago area. Take a listen and when there are pauses, don't worry, they are there during meditation. Dave comes back. We randomly jump from one subject to another after the session which is very interesting and kinda funny at times. We talk about Dave Davies Kronikles....Mystikal Journey DVD that was just released. It is available at all of your digital DVD markets as well as http://www.DaveDavies.com. If you purchase a UK edition, there are a few signed copies still available at the same cost. We hope you participate and enjoy this session. If you like or have comments, please feel free to leave them on this site as well as RSR on facebook. Also, please, become a follower on this Podcast as well if you would be so kind. Special thanks to Debbie Coates for all she does in the background. I got to pick the tag song at the end of the Podcast which is "Rock Me, Rock You," from Dave's "Kinked" album. We thank you for listening and participating. Regards- ~DJ_Boz~ Spencer Drate LIVE interview 06.28.10 discussing "FIVE HUNDRED 45's" by Anthony Bozza.comJune 30, 2010 08:22 PM PDT
Spencer Drate and Judith Salavetz have been working together for 28 years and counting! Their new book, "FIVE HUNDRED 45's" (published by Harper-Collins, NYC.), is a masterpiece. It's a 480 page, "Bible" for the 45 record enthusiast. If your not a 45 record enthusiast, this book will seduce you and you will become one! Since it's birth in 1949, the 45 has provided a creative outlet for graphic designers and artists, who have used the seven-inch record sleeve as a canvas, a place to experiment visually and to express the aesthetics and sentiments of the times. In FIVE HUNDRED 45's A Graphic History of the Seven-Inch Record (Collins Design; Trade Paperback Original; June 1, 2010; 9780061782411). Spencer Drate and Judith Salavetz have created an amazing anthology of more than 500 examples of great record sleeve design. Organized thematically, with graphically compelling pairings on every spread, this book covers every genre of music and great musician from 1950-2000, from the swing of Frank Sinatra to the early rock of Elvis Presley, from Bruce Springsteen to Blondie, from the Pretenders to Nirvana. Music fans, graphic designers, and pop culture enthusiasts will be inspired and impressed by this visually rich, diverse collection and consider it a must for their libraries. Spencer Drate and Judith Salavetz are creative directors, graphic designers, and writers who have designed album art for U2, Lou Reed, the Ramones, Velvet Underground, Talking Heads, the Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, and Dave Valentin, to name a few. Both are the recipients of many album-packaging awards and have judged album designs for numerous organizations in the music packaging industry. Drate is a member of the Grammy Award Committee for record design. This is a great interview and none like I have ever done before. There are quite a few surprises and several interesting questions and answers. All I can say is WOW, listen to the Podcast, then go buy the book! It's available at Barnes & Nobles, Boarders, Amazon to name a few. This was a privilege and an honor to interview such an amazing and talented man. Judith is equally amazing and talented as well. Spencer and I agreed to play Billy Squire's "Lonely Is The Night," for the tag song at the end of the podcast. I hope you enjoy! ~DJ_Boz~ Rock Spirit Radio Session #3. Dedicates & Celebrates the LIFE of Rafaela Flippi 06.20.10 by DaveDavies.com & AnthonyBozza.comJune 21, 2010 09:58 PM PDT
Dave Davies, Rosina Mostardini, and I along with a chat room of friends and healers, pray for the loss of dear Rafaela Flippi. Rafaela was a beautiful person, a dear friend to many and a very dear friend to Dave Davies. Dave remembers her in the front row when he was touring and she always had a big smile on her face. So, we dedicate this show to Rafaela and celebrate her life and all the people she had touched. Dave hand picked some very moving and appropriate songs during the session as well as some of Rafaela's favorites at the end of the session. I have "Trust Your Heart," from "Unfinished Business (Disk 1) and "Strangers" from the "Rock Bottom LIVE" LP. Thank you and we hope you get something out of this send off to dear Rafaela. Olga Ruocco, (creator) and Jayne Morgan manage a facebook group in dedication to Rafaela. The group is dedicated to the memory of Kinks & Dave Davies fan Rafaela, who passed over suddenly on 7th June 2010. Here is the link if you would like to post a dedication: ============================= DJ_Boz Rock Spirit Radio's "Spiritual Healing" session #2. Hello everyone- Well today was session #2 but in reality, it was our "first" show as the first show was really for beta testing although it was well received. Today's show was titled, "Building the Sacred Inner Space - Meditation and Mantra. This is a show that would take too much writing about all that went on, so click that download or listen button. You can click that "donate" one too if you enjoy any of World Access Radio or Rock Spirit Radio's LIVE shows or Podcasts. Our very special consultant and Spiritual Healer is Rosina Mostardini. Tag songs at the end of the podcast are "You Really Got Me" off Dave's "Transformation" album and "Free Me" from the "Fractured Mindz album." To reach & join Rock Spirit Radio on facebook: I hope you enjoy! ~DJ_Boz~ Next Page |
